Plaatsing en test setup

Voordat ik het over de luisterervaringen heb wil ik eerst even vermelden dat het plaatsen van de 3000 Micro me behoorlijk is meegevallen. Ik heb hem letterlijk op exact dezelfde plek gezet als mijn referentiesub. Omdat er echter gebruik wordt gemaakt van twee zijdelings geplaatste woofers heb ik de 3000 Micro 45 graden gedraaid zodat hij als het ware schuin in de hoek van de kamer staat en zowel de achterwand als zijwand even ver van beide woofers vandaan zijn. Ik heb in het verleden wat plaatsingsproblemen gehad bij een vergelijkbare subwoofer met zijdelings geplaatste drivers, maar in deze ruimte en met de SVS had ik daar dus gelukkig geen last van.

Eventuele onvolkomenheden in de curve, zoals staande golven, worden effectief tegengegaan middels ARC Genesis. Verder wordt tijdens de reviewperiode gebruik gemaakt van MartinLogan Motion 40i fronts en DALI speakers voor surround en hoogtekanalen. Zowel de stroomkabel naar de subwoofer als de LFE kabel zijn van AudioQuest.

Подключение активного сабвуфера к ресиверу

Не буду сразу забивать вам голову возможно ненужной информацией, а для начала представлю 3 варианта подключения активного сабвуфера к ресиверу/усилителю или DVD/Blu-Ray плееру. Возможно, что на вашем сабвуфере только один вход «Subwoofer», но на нижепредставленной схеме изображен наиболее часто встречаемый вариант.

Сабвуфер имеет два высокоуровневых входа, поэтому для подключения понадобиться достаточно толстый и длинный акустический кабель для того, чтобы произвести подключение к усилителю.

Существуют несколько способов подключения сабвуфера:

Активные сабвуферы (со встроенным усилителем) подключаются коаксиальным кабелем RCA — RCA, иными словами ( тюльпан-тюльпан). Один конец кабеля в сабвуфер, второй к 6-ти канальной аналоговой панели на ресивере в разъем с надписью Subwoofer. Если RCA разъемов на сабвуфере 2 (L и R — In) или 4 (L и R — In и Out), то используется белый разъем.

Для подключения сабвуфера можно использовать выходные терминалы, которыеиспользуются для подключения акустических систем. При этом сабвуфер и акустические системы будут работать в низкочастотном диапазоне параллельно.

Сабвуфер иногда подключают к выходным терминалам, расположенным на усилителе, тогда акустические системы подключают к выходным высокоуровневым терминалам, расположенным на сабвуфере. Дело в том, что перед этими терминалами находятся высокочастотные фильтры 6 дБ, которые снижают давление в низкочастотном диапазоне, оказываемые на акустические системы. При этом работа приборов осуществляется не параллельно, иначе говоря, этот способ подключения позволяет повысить рабочую нагрузку, оказываемую на всю систему.

Основные положения при выборе сабвуфера

Многие полагают, что расположенная в отдельном корпусе система с низкочастотной головкой, которая воспроизводит звук совместно с маленькими сателлитами и есть сабвуфер. Это не так. Значение термина «сабвуфер» — «ниже НЧ-головки». Сабвуфер – это отдельная акустическая система для воспроизведения низших частот звукового диапазона, уменьшающее нижнюю граничную частоту до 20 Гц и ниже.

Основные разновидности сабвуферов: а) активные; б) пассивные. К первому типу можно отнести модели, снабженные встроенным усилителем. Их преимущество – разгрузка основного усилителя домашнего кинотеатра. В этому случае, сабвуферу требуется дополнительное питание. Ко второму типу относятся модели, которые нужно подключать к внешнему усилителю. Существует несколько вариантов подключения пассивного сабвуфера. При подаче ресивером сигнала на основные спикеры и на сабвуфер одновременно, широкополосный выходной сигнал передается на вход сабвуфера. При этом используется дополнительный разделительный фильтр (кроссовер), который разделяет высокие и низкие частоты и выдаёт отфильтрованные сигналы к месту назначения (низкочастотный – на сабвуфер, высоко- и среднечастотный на основные сателлиты).

Пассивный сабвуфер имеет ряд недостатков, вследствие чего стоимость их ниже, чем у активных. Серьезный недостаток — необходимость точной увязки сабвуфера с имеющейся в наличии акустической системой. Это весьма сложный процесс. Подключение сабвуфера с помощью отдельного усилителя мощности и электронного разделительного фильтра позволит снизить нелинейные искажения за счёт того, что сигнал разделяется по специальной схеме. И к тому же, основной усилитель освобождается от повышенной нагрузки.

В последнее время практически на всех активных сабвуферах предусмотрена возможность регулировать частоту разделения, поэтому при использовании такой модели подключения сабвуфера процедура согласования основных компонентов системы становится намного проще. Как недостаток, можно отметить довольно высокую стоимость активных сабвуферов. Несмотря на это, при выборе советую присмотреться именно к активным, имеющим внутренний усилитель. Если не хотите тратить много денег на сабвуфер, присмотритесь к бюджетным моделям Yamaha.

Een subwoofer inzetten bij muziek

Een subwoofer zoals de SVS 3000 Micro inzetten bij het luisteren naar muziek zorgt voor een aantal voordelen. De versterker die de reguliere speakers aanstuurt wordt er ten eerste enorm mee ontlast. Je hoeft namelijk je speakers niet de allerlaagste tonen weer te laten geven. Iets wat veel speakers sowieso al niet halen, terwijl je versterker er aardig wat moeite voor moet doen om die lage tonen, zeker op hoog volume, uit te sturen.

Bijkomend voordeel is dat je versterker zijn reserves in kan zetten voor midlaag, midden en hoog. Daar profiteert de algehele weergave van. Het is dan wel hetВ meest praktisch als je versterker een specifieke subwoofer uitgang heeft en dat je de benodigde instellingen kunt maken. Zo gaan in mijn geval alle lage tonen onder de 60Hz naar de subwoofer als het over de fronts gaat. Bij de surround en hoogtespeakers ligt de crossover zelfs op 100Hz.

Naast het voordeel voor de versterker zelf zijn lage tonen niet richtingsgevoelig en kun je een subwoofer plaatsen op een andere plek dan je normaal je reguliere speakers plaatst. Zo kun je naar een optimale balans tussen laagweergave en mid/hoog toe werken. De beste subwoofers zijn in mijn ogen diegene die je pas mist als je ze uit zet. Dan is een goede plaatsing overigens wel echt een vereiste. Als je een subwoofer kunt lokaliseren in de ruimte, staat ie eigenlijk verkeerd ingesteld en opgesteld. En hoor je een subwoofer te veel, dan staat ie eigenlijk gewoon te hard, als het gaat over muziek dan. Bij films is het natuurlijk een ander verhaal.

Ten slotte voegt een subwoofer in de muziek ook werkelijk wat toe. Denk aan de lage tonen van een kerkorgel. Er zijn nauwelijks luidsprekers die dat echt weer kunnen geven. En wat te denken van elektronische muziek? Luister er in elk geval onze eerste playlist maar eens op na. Daar staan ook zeker tracks in die enorm veel laag bevatten.

Conclusie

SVS heeft met de 3000 Micro een interessante subwoofer neergezet. Eentje die heel onopvallend is neer te zetten in huis en eentje die ondanks zijn formaat in bepaalde situaties zeker niet onder doet voor grotere modellen van andere fabrikanten. Het is wat mij betreft ook een ideaal formaat om er twee of misschien zelfs wel vier van in te zetten in je luisterruimte. Zeker in een homecinema kun je beter twee of meer kleine subwoofers plaatsen dan een enkele grote. Dan hoeven ze afzonderlijk ook wat minder hard te werken en spelen ze minder snel op hun limiet. Daarbij integreren ze dan veel gemakkelijker in de luisterruimte. En met de prijs van de 3000 Micro is dat wat mij betreft ook zeker haalbaar.

Je merkt in elk geval dat de expertise van SVS goed is ingezet en dat de technieken van de grotere modellen is doorgesijpeld naar dit kleinere model getuige de weergave die behoorlijk muzikaal te noemen is. De app biedt uitgebreide instellingsmogelijkheden en de bouwkwaliteit van de subwoofer zelf is gewoon piekfijn in orde.

Чувствительность (дБ). Чем больше чувствительно динамика, тем меньше нагружается усилитель, тем большее звуковое давление он выдает при той же мощности.

Формула сабвуфера — чем больше площадь, а соответственно и размер диффузора, тем мощнее и органичнее бас.

Размеры сабвуфера весьма велики. В основном корпус сабвуфера кубической формы и выполнен из стандартных материалов для акустики, к примеру MDF-плиты из древесноволокнистой стружки, изготовленной при высоком давлении и температуре. Так же можно найти цилиндрические и шаровидные системы, но они не нашли широко распространения. Низкочастотный диффузор располагается внутри корпуса сабвуфера, причем, стоит отметить, что ход излучателя динамика может доходить до 7 сантиметров! Сабвуферы подразделяют на активные и пассивные. Активные уже имеют при себе усилитель, а пассивный нужно подключать к отдельному усилителю звука, функция которого усилить и передать сигнал на Вашу hi-fi технику (акустические колонки, акустику для домашнего кинотеатра).

Главное, это Ваше восприятие музыки и Ваши ощущения. Опирайтесь на них, и выбранная акустика Вас будет радовать при каждом прослушивании. При правильном выборе даже недорогих компонентов можно добиться максимального качества, необходим только баланс между ними.

Fully Active Dual Opposing 8-inch Drivers – Defy the Laws of Physics with Room-Shaking Output and Pinpoint Accuracy

SVS is met name bekend van zijn subwoofers. En dan vooral van de enorme gevaartes die een aardbeving kunnen veroorzaken in jouw directe omgeving. Het absolute topmodel is de PB16-Ultra. Die mastodont weegt net geen 80 kilo en met afmetingen van 55 bij 63 bij 79 cm is dat echt een subwoofer waar je U tegen zegt. Hoe anders is dan de in deze review besproken 3000 Micro. Deze zeer compacte maar uiterst capabele subwoofer meet slechts 30 bij 28 bij 27 cm. Formaatje stoeptegel dus. En dat is in veel huiskamers een stuk beter te plaatsen. En zelfs twee stuks zou dan het overwegen waard zijn voor een nog betere integratie in je set. Voor deze review heb ik de beschikking over een enkele. Ook geen straf.

Situatieschets

Het is denk ik handig om te vermelden dat ik al sinds jaar en dag gebruik maak van een subwoofer in mijn luisterruimte. Enerzijds omdat ik al jaren een surround opstelling heb, anderzijds omdat een subwoofer ook bij het luisteren naar muziek in stereo een waardevolle toevoeging is in mijn ogen. Ik heb in het begin van mijn reis door de hifi ook vreselijk slechte subwoofers gehad trouwens. Die alleen maar een beetje meebonkten en totaal niet subtiel uit de hoek (pun intended) konden komen.

De laatste jaren echter is mijn referentiesubwoofer een Velodyne SPL-1200 Ultra. Een subwoofer die zeer lage en krachtige tonen kan voortbrengen, maar ook zeer genuanceerd en lichtvoetig kan zijn. Die snel is. Ik kan dus best een aardige vergelijking maken.

Если у сабвуфера сзади две клеммы, то сабвуфер подключается к выходу Pre Out Subwoofer через усилитель. Таким образом схема подключения выглядит так: Сабвуфер — Акустический кабель — Усилитель (специально для сабвуфера) — RCA кабель — Ресивер (Pre Out Subwoofer).

Внимание! Не забудьте поставить «отсечку» (частоту среза или лимит воспроизводимых частот) в ресивере на сабвуфер и регулировать только общую громкость всей акустической системы, так как вы можете испортить сабвуфер, используя регулятор усилителя сабвуфера. Очень часто пассивные сабвуферы подключаются параллельно к фронтальным колонкам:

На задней панели сабвуфера три клеммы — это плюсы от фронтальных динамиков и их общий минус (минусы скручиваются вместе);

Пассивный сабвуфер может также использоваться и в стерео варианте. Великолепно подойдет он и для подключения к домашнему кинотеатру. При применении совместно со стерео усилителем нужно подключить к выходам сабвуфера выходы усилителя. Для этих целей удобно использовать акустические кабели, которые имеют толщину от 2.5 до 4 мм, достаточно лишь подобрать нужную длину

При подключении важно убедиться в соответствии полюсов штекеров и полюсов предоставленных каналов. Выходы сабвуфера подключают к сателлитам. Подобная операция производится в том случае, когда сабвуфер используется в домашнем кинотеатре

Conclusion

The new 1000 Pro subs have become genuine hits. Except for the affordable prices, nothing reminds you of „entry-level“ subwoofers; there‘s very good quality and performance here that's damn close to the 2000s. The 3000 Micro is a class above in terms of quality and ingredients, but on paper alone, it's more expensive and has less oomph. However, with its compactness and finished look, it doesn't compete with the big-and-cheap segment at all. It takes its place in home theaters where SB and PB would not be tolerated, and it spoils with the most refined sound and incredible performance. This requires more effort, which more than justifies the price.

While the 1000 pro offers a lot of subwoofer for the money, the 3000 Micro wants to be little subwoofer with maximum performance. The highest possible integration with high-class technology, really cinematic and deep bass in the smallest space – so the 300 Micro is also a bull's eye.
